Grassland School Principal's Report

Greetings Grassland parents and community:

This past month was an exciting whirlwind of activity. We have been fortunate enough to have a very gifted group of fine arts people come once a week to our school to work with our students in all our grades from K-10. They have been doing everything from guitar and drums, to glee club and art projects.

Our athletes have also been very busy with students from grades 5-12 being involved in badminton competition. Our seniors high students had the chance to visit Edmonton for the NAIT and University tours, and had a wonderful night of entertainment at Jubilations.

I’d like to thank all the parents who came to our Parent/Teacher night and I encourage anyone who didn’t get the chance, to come by the school and visit us. Please feel free to call me any time if you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions about what we are doing to help in the education of our students.

Please be sure to have a good look at our schedule for upcoming Diploma exams and PATs as they are fast approaching and some will be written this month.

I would also like to invite you to join us in thanking our bus drivers and our volunteers on Wednesday May 6th at lunch followed by an assembly of celebration.

We are also planning a heritage day and old fashioned picnic and ball game afternoon in June (tentatively June 5th) so please plan to attend.

Thanks for all the support our wonderful community and volunteers give our students every day.

Sincerely,

Mr. R. Kerr
